Preceptors 

Coastal AHEC Student Services department currently supports approximately 300 community preceptors through:

• Helping to ensure that preceptors teach the students they want at the times they want them;

• The facilitation of the faculty appointment process; 
  Preceptor development activities; 

• Implementing protocols for payment of eligible preceptor sites; 
  Linking preceptors to AHEC information resources; 

• Providing library and computer services through the outreach
  librarian; and 

• Acting as a preceptor advocate in local and statewide discussions.
