NO PETS ALLOWED.
Student Housing staff performs periodic inspections of the apartment to
ensure that there are no pets. If a pet is found, both the pet
and the student will be evicted immediately. The student will
be responsible for reimbursing Coastal AHEC for any damage incurred. A
letter will be sent to the student’s school.

NO PROLONGED GUESTS.
Only students assigned to your housing unit are allowed to stay.
Violation of
this rule will result in termination of your housing and your school
will be notified.

NO SMOKING.
Use of tobacco products is NOT allowed in the apartments,
including porches & balconies of all units.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES ARE NOT PROVIDED DURING STUDENT
OCCUPANCY OF APARTMENTS
You are responsible in keeping the apartment clean and uncluttered.
(Apartments are cleaned prior to each student’s arrival.) The
Student Housing staff periodically inspects the apartments. It
is anticipated that a certain amount of normal wear & tear will occur in
the apartments and to the furnishings. However, damage resulting from
actions other than normal wear &tear will be the responsibility of the
student and in such cases, the student will be expected to reimburse
Coastal AHEC for damages. If payment is not made, the school will be
notified.

USE & STORAGE OF GRILLS ANYWHERE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE
APARTMENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Coastal AHEC will perform all repairs, painting, and pest/bug
control.

Please do not report maintenance issues to the switchboard office or GME
departments.

ITEMS BELONGING TO THE APARTMENT MUST NOT BE REMOVED OR
RELOCATED.
Furniture may not be stacked, taken from the room in which it belongs
[with the exception of desk chairs], or removed from the unit.

NOTHING MAY BE HUNG ON WALLS, DOORS, OR ANY OTHER SURFACE OF
THE APARTMENT.
This includes posters, calendars, pictures, etc. No clothing or towels
may be draped over furniture or doors. Any student not adhering to
this policy may be charged a fine for damages.

USE OF THE FIREPLACE IS NOT ALLOWED.

ALL GARBAGE MUST BE PUT IN PLASTIC BAGS, TIED SECURELY, AND
TAKEN AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK TO THE DUMPSTERS.
Any students whose apartments are found to have trash overflowing from
the bin or left on countertops will receive written warning. After 3
written warnings, the student will be asked to leave AHEC housing.

ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY
MUST BE STORED WITHIN THE UNITS AND DECKS WILL NOT BE USED FOR
STORAGE
Nothing
may be hung, attached to, or left outside the units; including but not
limited to towels & clothing.
