Educational Technology Services provides a wide range of media production services and media support for Coastal AHEC, New Hanover Health Network and health professionals in the Coastal AHEC five county region. Services provided by the Educational Technology Services include: 


Photography / Slide production:

Copy work

    • From books, journals, x-rays etc..


    • Operation Room/Patient photography
    • Event photography for publications / publicity / documentation

Computer generated

    • Text, chart, and graph slides
    • From existing Power Point files
    • Or provide typed originals for text, data for chart/graph
    • Scanning capabilities to add photographs to Power Point

The above services can be produced in color or black & white print or slide format



    • Video production to include scripting and post-production to finished product
    • Event recording / documentation at S-VHS quality
    • VHS Camcorder videotaping capabilities


    • Duplicate VHS tapes with copyright permission

Desktop Publishing / Graphic Design

    • Brochure/Flyer design and production
    • Other publication design and production
    • Logo design
    • Scanning capability
    • Poster presentation design and production
    • Black & White and Color prints or transparencies output

Distance Learning / Teleconferencing

  • North Carolina Information Highway connectivity with in state medical and educational institutions
  • Telemedicine network connections with Bladen, Dosher and Pender Hospitals, Coastal Family Medicine and the Penslow Medical Clinic.
  • ISDN national and worldwide dial up connectivity

Equipment services

    • Audio-visual equipment loan (35mm slide projectors, overhead projectors, projection screens, video projectors, public address systems)


Educational Technology Services serves as a contact point to coordinate services not offered in-house
